About Rogers
Rogers is a village in Colfax County, in eastern Nebraska, on U.S. Highway 30. The 2020 census counted 82 residents; the 2010 and 2000 counts were both 95. The village covers about 0.17 square miles, which makes it one of the most compact incorporated places in the county. It remains an active incorporated village with its own government.
History
Rogers was platted in 1886 and served as a shipping point on the Union Pacific Railroad. The village was named for a railroad official. Its post office record is unusually broken: service opened in 1883, closed in 1885, reopened in 1887, and closed permanently in 1988.

Rogers is among the smallest incorporated places in Colfax County. The surrounding land is farmed, and the village sits directly on U.S. Highway 30. The baseball player Fred Wigington is recorded as being from Rogers.
