Lewis and Clark offers ten modern, two-bedroom cabins available year-round. Cabins have two queen beds and three single beds with a maximum occupancy of seven. They are equipped with linens, towels, stove, refrigerator, coffee pot, toaster, microwave and kitchen service for seven. All cabins also have a covered patio, modern restrooms, picnic table, outdoor grill and campfire ring. Reservations may be made up to a year in advance. Two-bedroom cabins that sleep seven people are available for $160 per night.

Situated at the confluence of the Niobrara and Missouri rivers on Nebraska’s northeastern border, Niobrara State Park offers visitors a wide array of outdoor experiences. This scenic, tranquil park offers cabins, both tent and RV camping, picnicking, swimming, boat ramps, horseback trails, hiking, fishing and wildlife watching opportunities. During the summer months, the park hosts its famous buffalo cookouts.

Perhaps the biggest draw of Smith Falls State Park is, of course, the famous falls. At 70 feet, these falls are the highest waterfall in Nebraska. From the north side of the park, cross the footbridge that spans the Niobrara River and then travel the boardwalk to the falls. Remember: Hiking to the falls is limited to established trails to prevent erosion and protect rare plants.
